Legacy SS - Stage 2 Performance Chip

The Stage 2 chip is intended for intercooled engines running the factory turbo or the TD04-13T WRX turbo. Adding an intercooler allows for higher boost than the Stage 1 chip, and that's exactly what you get with the Stage 2 chip.

*NEW* For users with a Select Monitor Cable, our free REVScan software can be used to adjust fuel ratio under full throttle to consistently deliver maximum power.

The Stage 2 chip can be configured for either 14 psi or 17 psi peak boost using the mode switch. Boost levels will taper off at higher RPM's to prevent overspooling the turbo. This translates to large gains in torque (up to 50%) and power (up to 35%). On the factory VF11 turbo, full boost is reached by 2800 RPM.

Sample TD04 Dyno Results

The factory MAF sensor must be upgraded to the higher flow JECS MAF to handle the increased airflow demands. Upgraded fuel injectors are optional on the stock turbo, but required for the TD04 turbo. Please select the appropriate turbo and injector options when ordering.

  • Catback exhaust - 2.5" or larger
  • High flow downpipe - 2.5" or larger
  • Modified factory air intake (resonator and snorkel delete)
  • JECS MAF sensor

Optimized for Power

Through extensive testing, we have determined the best settings for both power and reliability. We remapped the factory boost control to optimize turbocharger operation. Fuel and spark timing maps are also fine-tuned to deliver better performance while preventing knock and maintaining safe exhaust gas temperatures.
 

Factory Reliability

We retained all the built-in factory safety features to protect your engine from dangerous operating conditions such as poor quality fuel or faulty sensors. The overboost fuel cut feature is retained but set to a higher threshold.
 

Simple Plug-In Installation

Using our specially developed chip adapter board, installation is simple. You do not need to be mechanically inclined and no special tools are necessary, just a wrench and screwdriver. No soldering is required.
 

Two-Program Switch for 91 and 93 Octane Fuel

Each chip is programmed with two calibrations (Normal and Power mode), which can be selected by changing a jumper switch on the adapter board. Normal mode is tuned for 91 octane while Power mode is tuned for 93 octane.

An external switch is provided to allow switching from the driver's seat.
